project 1. Brazil's soft power

Essay focused on the perceptions, or misconceptions, of Brazil and Brazilian modern art in Britain in relation to politics and diplomacy. Examining Anglo-Brazilian relations through the analysis of the historic 1944 Royal Academy of Arts exhibition, 'Exhibition of Modern Brazilian Paintings', and 'The Art of Diplomacy - Brazilian Modernism Painted for War'. Everton Barreiro in conversation with Dr. Vinicius de Carvalho, Senior Lecturer at Brazil Institute King's College, in London.

project 2. Brazil, the untold story

Alba Darabi, Carlinhos Brown, Djamila Ribeiro, Maxwell Alexandre and Rodney William contribute to British-Brazilian co-production about Black Brazilian stories and histories not yet told. A collection of five documentaries including reflections, performance and video art, which tell powerful stories and histories as examined by Black voices.
